# Testing

Before requesting Production activation, validate your Pay by Bank integration using the Sandbox environment. Sandbox Mode allows you to develop and validate the integration, test payment flows, verify callback and webhook processing, validate order status updates, and test error handling and retry scenarios. No live payments are processed in Sandbox Mode.

### Recommended Test Scenarios

We recommend validating the following scenarios before requesting Production activation.

<table><thead><tr><th width="233">Scenario</th><th>Expected Result</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Successful payment</td><td>Payment is successfully completed and the order is updated.</td></tr><tr><td>Failed payment</td><td>Customer receives an appropriate error message.</td></tr><tr><td>Customer cancellation</td><td>Payment is cancelled and the customer returns to checkout.</td></tr><tr><td>Payment timeout</td><td>Payment expires if the customer does not complete authentication.</td></tr><tr><td>One-click payment (where enabled)</td><td>Payment with a stored account reference completes with the shortened flow.</td></tr><tr><td>Refunds (where enabled)</td><td>Full, partial, and multiple partial refunds are processed and reflected in statuses.</td></tr></tbody></table>

### Production Readiness Checklist

Before requesting Production activation, verify that:

* All supported payment scenarios have been successfully tested, including failed, cancelled, and abandoned payments.
* Callback or webhook notifications are processed correctly, and order status updates are based on confirmed payment results (Settled).
* Payment references are stored for reconciliation and customer support.
* Refund processing has been validated, where applicable.
* Alternative payment methods are available if Pay by Bank cannot be used.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.ecommerce.seb.ee/payment-methods/pay-by-bank/testing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
